I have completed the second issue of my three-part minicomic series about the imprisonment of Oscar Wilde: Season of Sorrow.
In this issue, Wilde is transferred to Reading Gaol, an institution governed by the cruel Colonel Isaacson. Subjected to the "silent system", Wilde is prohibited from communicating with his fellow prisoners. When a whispered exchange in the exercise yard is detected by a warder, Wilde and his new friend are called before Isaacson, a man Wilde would later describe as a "mulberry-faced dictator" who was "not able to enjoy his breakfast unless someone was punished before he ate it".
I have now sold out of the individual issues, but you can purchase the graphic novel featuring the whole story at my shop.
